Accreditation Statement

Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center is accredited by the Institute for Medical Quality/California Medical Association (IMQ/CMA) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center designates this enduring material for a maximum of 1.0AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

This credit may also be applied to the CMA Certification in Continuing Medical Education.

Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center is accredited by the California Board of Registered Nursing to offer continuing education for nurses, Provider Number 285. Nurses may claim 1.0 contact hours for successfully completing each activity plus the post test.

The AMA requires that enduring materials provide access to appropriate bibliographic sources to allow for further study. Website learners may contact the CME Department at 818-847-3882 or Jacqueline.Steltz-Lenarsky@providence.org for access to bibliographic sources for an activity on the website.

Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center requires that a post-test be completed in order to receive AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ for viewing videos on this site. A score of 3 out of 3 or 100% answered correctly will be required to receive credit.

Each video is designated with a release date, a review date of 3 years post-release, and a termination date to be determined upon review.

Performance Gap/Need

Physicians and other caregivers find it increasingly difficult to attend live on-site conferences, particularly during the noon hour when live activities are traditionally held. This creates a gap between the availability of the information that learners require or desire to access and the learners’ availability. The CME website fulfills the need for a format that endures over a specified time and does not have a specific time or location designated for participation.

We hope you'll attend live activities whenever possible, and use the archived sessions to enhance your learning experience.

For accreditation questions or concerns, please contact Jacqueline Steltz-Lenarsky, Manager of Continuing Medical Education, at 818-847-3882 or via email at Jacqueline.Steltz-Lenarsky@providence.org.
